Thanksgiving 2009

Thanksgiving is upon us (how time flies…) and the first celebration this year took place at Hand In Hand Academy, where Patrick performed in a short program, with other children from his preschool class. Watch the video and enjoy the photos…

We Got a New Dog!!!

After a long debate, the decission was made and we got a new dog: it’s a 2-month old female Golden Doodle, brough home on October 27th, 2009. Patrick was extatic and fell in love with her from the first moments. We named her Roxy.
Here is the first set of photos: Puppy Time.

Summer 2009

The summer is over (not that it feels like it is), and it was fun, fun, fun this year.
First we took a road trip to Toronto, Canada, visiting Smoky Mountains, Mammoth Cave, Kentucky, and Nashville, Tennessee on the way there and back. The trip was fabulous, and we had tons of fun. We were very pleasantly surprised with the “Interior”, especially Kentucky and Tennessee.

Later in the summer, we took a short trip down the Florida’s Gulf Coast to see the Everglades and Naples. This turned out to be a great excursion as well.

Space Shuttle Launch

Last weekend (May 10/11) we went to the Kennedy Space Center to explore, and then we stayed around to see the Space Shuttle Atlantis launch (STS 125 mission to the Hubble Space Telescope). It was lots of fun, Patrick loved the rockets and the launch itself. See the pictures and the launch video in the picture gallery.

Christmas Is Here… Again!

Time flies so fast, and Christmas Season is here again. This time it’s Christmas in New York, which is always an adventure.
The best part was probably the amazing Train Show in the New York Botanical Gardens.

See the full album of the photos taken this year during our Christmas Trip to New York. While you are there, make sure to check out the pictures from Colonial Williamsburgh, Virginia, which we visited on the way from New York, back to Tampa.

Let’s Do Some Hiking

Summer is almost over (sort of… it’s still hot!), the rainy season is done, so it’s time to get out and enjoy the weather. We set out for a short hike in the local woods, where you can sometimes run into a deer, or a raccoon (not this time), and generally, enjoy the outdoors. Here are some pictures…
